Focus:
A design based on the HV9931 IC implements a power-factor-corrected, 100-Vac to 135-Vac input, 20-V to 160-V 350-mA dc output nonisolated, power supply for driving high-power LEDs. This power supply is compatible with standard (triac-based) dimmer switches. This design employs the Bibred topology, which suits applications with modest step-down ratio. Bill-of-materials and performance results are presented.
