The scope of FCC Part 15 is summarized as "This Part sets out the regulations under which an intentional, unintentional, or incidental radiator may be operated without an individual license. It also contains the technical specifications, administrative requirements and other conditions relating to the marketing of Part 15 devices." Power supplies and many other electronic products that fall under the category of unintentional radiator are required to meet the EMI limits spelled out in subpart B, which starts on page 28 of this document. Specifically, section 15.107 (page 33) lists conducted EMI limits for Class B and Class A devices. Section 15.109 (page 34) lists radiated EMI limits for Class B and Class A devices. Product labeling requirements are also given. The following sections within subpart B may also be helpful: Section 15.101 Equipment authorization of unintentional radiators (lists categories of equipment and explains what form of compliance is required); and 15.102 CPU boards and power supplies used in personal computers; and 15.103 Exempted Devices.
